Starting this summer, and
continuing into fall, some major changes to the
University of Idaho employee e-mail service will
begin. Information Technology Services (ITS)
will be rolling out new e-mail, calendaring and
collaboration software to replace the current @uidaho.edu
e-mail system for faculty and staff. This
upgrade will not affect the existing student
e-mail migration to "VandalMail Live".
What are some highlights of the new e-mail
system?
- Comprehensive,
feature rich access for:
- e-mail,
including increased storage capacity
- calendaring
(at no cost to the user)
- contact and
address list management

productivity tools.

e-mail access

features from anywhere through a web browser
or use Microsoft Outlook on your desktop

need to do to prepare for this upgrade?
- Not at this
time. Additional information about the

need to use Outlook or "Outlook Web
Access".

address change? Will I lose any of my
existing e-mail folders and messages?
- No, your
e-mail address will remain the same and
all existing e-mail folders and messages
will be retained through the upgrade
process.

OnTime calendaring?

service will be retired at some time
after the new e-mail system becomes
available.
