bit confused about how your accounts work, this page is designed
to provide more details about each of your accounts.
When do I use my myUIdaho credentials?
Knowing your credentials is critical for all University
logins and communication. From online classes to campus
computers, your myUIdaho credentials will be essential. Below are a
few examples of when you will need to have your Student ID # or
myUIdaho Username at hand.
- Use your myUIdaho Username with:
- Use your Student ID # with

VandalWeb login
- Any sensitive communication
with ITS
- Communication with any UI
department
What if I need to reset my password or PIN?
You may find that you need to reset the password to any one
of your three account passwords: your myUIdaho account
password/passphrase, your VandalMail Live email account password
or your Student ID # PIN.
To properly reset your password, visit
https://support.uidaho.edu/ and login with your myUIdaho
Username and expired or temporary password. You may reset your PIN,
myUIdaho Password, or VandalMail
Live email password from the left-hand menu. Or, if you are
unable to complete this process online, you may visit the Help
Desk in TLC room 128, and with a photo ID, we can reset your password.
Are VandalMail Live and myUIdaho the same?
No, VandalMail Live and myUIdaho do not refer to the same account. VandalMail Live is
purely your student e-mail at http://www.vandals.uidaho.edu/ (i.e.
vand1234@vandals.uidaho.edu and corresponding password). On the
other hand, myUIdaho refers to your login credentials for the
University, including logging into the support site or campus
computers (i.e. vand1234 and corresponding password).
