  University Accounts Information  



Your employee account with the University of Idaho will now commonly be referred to as myUIdaho. As technology changes and as the University of Idaho progresses, myUIdaho will be the constant factor in your relationship with the University of Idaho and Information Technology Services.

Your myUIdaho account is the primary account used throughout your professional relationship with the University of Idaho. All account holders can access Student Computer Labs, Blackboard, Unix shell services, FrontPage websites, and other University services. Additionally employees of the University can access their Microsoft Exchange email account.

This account gives you access to the following services:

VandalWeb PIN
For students, the PIN is the password used by the Registrar's system, "VandalWeb", to enroll in classes, pay fees, and do many other online tasks associated with student registration. For employees, the PIN is used for "Employee Web", access to paystubs, health care information, and advising. More information on the PIN is available from the Registrar's office here.

VandalMail Live
VandalMail Live is the UI's student email system. It provides students with an @vandals.uidaho.edu e-mail address. The service is available on the page http://vandals.uidaho.edu/. Students are assigned an @vandals.uidaho.edu when they activate their accounts on the http://vandalsetup.uidaho.edu/ web page. To learn more about setting up your student email account, please click here.

Banner Account
Access to the University of Idaho's ERP, or Administrative System, service. Access with this account is provided by the instructor when going through Banner training.

What is "Account Management"?
Account Management is the secure web page provided by ITS to change your passwords, setup e-mail forwarding, download antivirus software and access other "self-help" tools. You can login to this service on the web page http://support.uidaho.edu/.

New Employees & Sponsored Accounts
As a new employee, you must attend new employee orientation where you will learn your username and receive a temporary password. You must not only reset this temporary password but activate your other accounts, including Vandalweb. For instructions on activating your account and changing your password, please visit our Account Activation page. 

In addition to learning how to setup your account, it is important to understand how your account may be retained or removed, particularly in regard to your affiliation. To understand a little more about this topic, please visit our Account Retention page.

Finally, as a full time employee you have the option to sponsor students, visiting scholars or others not employed full time by the University. It is important to know what sponsorship means and entails. Please visit our Sponsorship page to view answers to frequently asked questions.

What login name and password do I use?
Most UI technology services utilize the University password for authentication. This account should always be used unless specifically mentioned on the login screen.
